The heart
He died.
Tender hands of the sister didn’t make the bed. Eyes of the lover didn’t look in the room of the sick with a secret grief.
The friends didn’t send their regards. At the last moment he didn’t receive forgiveness and didn’t hear a word of a quiet man, the man his own father, though he didn’t already believe his power. The mother didn’t spread on him bitter tears.
He died abroad.
"He was ill with many diseases. There is no cure for it in any way.” The doctor was evading himself before others or colleague.
The deceased was dissected.
The professor got his hands down and exclaimed with surprise: "Look, misters, what’s the matter?!
They looked at each other.
"Misters, the heart, the heart, where is it?”
Instead of the heart there were the ashes.
The mother understood this terrible tiding by means of a dispatch. She entered a lone abandoned room of the son and began to mourn: "Why did you ruin your widower mother?” Where is your good heart that I put in its place with such torment? Small map of the wall answered: "I withered it away!” "I burned it to ashes!” The picture stirred on the table.
Nobody heard the words.
